Tiamat, for Satanic doom metal.

Emperor, Immortal, Gorgoroth, Darkthrone, Behemoth, et al for black metal.

Occasionally a death metal band will have satanic influences (Slayer, for example, had mildly satanic vocals).

Be aware, however, no matter how much "satanic" "metal" you listen to, you will not automatically:

  1. Take over the world (probably)
  2. Be able to steal people's souls
  3. Be awesome, or grim, kvlt und truly metal

;)

I don't think that any of them are REALLY Satanic, it's just an image that they promote to appeal to their fans.
I very much doubt that any heavy metal bands or singers really worship the Devil or practice the black arts, but they like to create the impression that they do in order to shock the public and to appeal to rebellious youth who wish to do the same- some punk bands in the '70s were similar. But if you asked any band member seriously in a private interview if they were on 'the Dark Side' as it were, they'd probably say no. Ozzy Osbourne, Alice Cooper and Marilyn Manson all liked to create that impression, but in fact they are really good people- some heavy metal artistes may be athiests, but this is different from actively worshipping evil things.

However, it does have to be said that it isn't very sensible to even play up to such an image. There are evil spirits and demonic forces around which can take advantage of actions that are done when not even meant seriously (i.e. displaying crosses upside-down, inverted pentagrams, incantations of black spells etc.) When heavy metal bands do this it's naive of them not to appreciate the dangers, and one can only pray that God will protect them against the potential consequences.

What screamo bands are satanic?

Most of screamo bands aren't satanic. Well I'm a fan of screamo and I've never found out that there is some satanic screamo band because even if they mention devil or Satan in some songs it doesn't mean they're worshiping Satan. Most of them are normal Christians or Atheists.

What metal bands are satanic?

There are some bands I am not very sure of, but I do know that Slayer is, and Godsmack. Tiamat. Without a doubt, they are one of the most explicitly, obviously, purposefully Satanic bands around (and actually still have a brilliant sound). The songs "Cain", "Return of the son of nothing" and "Clovenhoof" make that quite clear. Darkthrone and their ilk could also be considered satanic, to an extent. Most of the old black metal bands were. Satyricon, Anorexia Nervosa (possibly), Akercocke, and plenty of other newer bands certainly try to lean that way. Slayer has some mildly "satanic" lyrics, but most of the band members were Catholic, IIRC. Godsmack is just modern rock/metal.

Out of curiousity is Bullet For My Valentine Satanic?

Bullet For My Valentine is not Satanic. They make no references to Lucifer in any of their songs. If they were Satanic, why would they write lyrics like: "Heaven! Where is my angel! I need her now" (Her Voice Resides) "Heaven's waiting for you. Just close your eyes and say goodbye." (Say Goodnight)Etc. Which brings me to my next point, you now may be questioning whether or not they are a Christian band. No. They are not a Christian band nor are they Satanic. (P.S. Although there are multiple bands who consider themselves Satanists, the majority of them do it for attention. There are few true Satanic Bands.)

Is Metal music satanic?

People have different opinions on whether it is satanic or not, but I don't really think it is. Some of us just like to rock out and turn up the volume. It's a good way to let out your anger and depression. It also depends on the lyrics. Just because they curse and scream doesn't mean it's about Satan and all that stuff. If that's what the lyrics are like in a different song, then sure, it could be considered satanic. It isn't always metal. Think about the religion of the band that made the song. Some bands are Satanic, but it doesn't mean anything different from what non-Satanic bands sing about. There's several different types of Metal music, such as Thrash, NÜ Metal, Etc. And, keep in mind, they have also made Christian metal.

Are the bands Carniflex and Anorexia Nervosa satanic bands?

I don't know about Carniflex, but I can answer about Anorexia Nervosa. Anorexia Nervosa don't mention Satan, Satanism, etc. in their music. They use Gothic Horror motifs, which are commonly associated with the "dark side" of humanity, which tends to get them lumped with the Satanic bands.Another view:Please don't judge a music band by its name! Sometimes the producers use stupid immoral names to capture the publics attention. The men in the band are all Christians!

Is metal church satanic?

No, metal music and metal bands, including those with church or religious themes in their names, are not inherently satanic. The themes and imagery in metal music often explore dark or controversial topics, but they do not necessarily reflect the beliefs or intentions of the musicians. It is important to consider the context and artistic expression of the music rather than making assumptions based on superficial elements like band names.
