The lead singer of Small Faces was Steve Marriott. He was known for his distinctive voice and energetic stage presence, contributing significantly to the band's success in the 1960s. Marriott's songwriting and performance style helped define the group's sound, which blended rock, pop, and soul influences.
The Small Faces were a British rock band formed in the mid-1960s, consisting of four key members: Steve Marriott (lead vocals and guitar), Ronnie Lane (bass guitar and vocals), Kenney Jones (drums), and Ian McLagan (keyboards). They gained prominence with their energetic performances and hits like "Itchycoo Park" and "All or Nothing." The band is often associated with the Mod subculture and is noted for their influential role in the development of psychedelic rock.

Re: what group was Peter Frampton in? His band prior to Humble Pie was The Herd, with not only had numerous Top 10 hits between '67-69 ('From the Underworld', 'I Don't Want Our Loving to Die' etc.) but saw Peter labelled 'The Face of '68'. In other words, he was THE pop star of the year, which is why he ultiamtely left the band and formed Humble Pie, just to get away from the teen screamers and make more meaningful music. Another 'face', Steve Marriott of the Small Faces would quit his band to join Frampton's for the same reason.
New Faces - band - was created in 2007.
The band Faces, active primarily in the early 1970s, featured members Rod Stewart, Ron Wood, Ian McLagan, and Kenney Jones. They were known for their energetic rock sound and boisterous performances. The band emerged from the remnants of the Small Faces, with Stewart and Wood joining to form the new lineup. Faces are best known for hits like "Stay With Me" and "Ooh La La."
