Difficult to tell. It sounds like he went to a public school in Thornhill or Richmond Hill even though he grew up initially in the north end of Toronto (in Willowdale) and most of those kids in his immediate area - especially Jewish ones - went to Pleasant Avenue and Peckham schools. In an interview once, he alluded to the "farm land" to the north of where he lived and going "up the hill" there where he and other Jewish kids (who were being "bused". Pleasant Avenue never had busing) were routinely subject to verbal and physical abuse from the "farmers kids". Might have had to do with his parents owning a variety store in Newmarket. For sure, he later attended Fisherville Junior High in Willowdale (where he met Alex Lifeson) then Newtonbrook Secondary, also in Willowdale (his family, at some point, moved to very close to it).

Much to the disappointment of his mother, Geddy Lee did not go to college. He preferred to dedicate himself to his music career. But he made sure both of his children (his son and daughter) went to college.
