In Telluride Colorado! On June 24, 1889, Butch, the Sundance kid and two others robbed the original San Miguel Valley Bank at high noon, which is now the Appoloosa Trading Co. on main street in Telluride. The Telluride Town Marshall, Jim Clark, is said to have played a role in the crime as $2200.00 of the stolen money was found under a rock as payment to the Marshall for being out of town during the robbery. Butch and his team made off with around $22,000.00

By "original", I'm assuming you mean Jesse Woodson James from Kearney, MO. No, he was not an actor. He was a Confederate guerilla fighter and then a bank/train robber. He doesn't seem to have ever held a "legitimate" job. Robert Ford, who shot Jesse James, did become an "actor" of sorts: he appeared in a travelling stage show that reenacted the shooting.
