It use to be in the national cemetery in Port au Prince near the eastern gate. The tomb was not exorbitant by any standards. A simple masoleum with the words "Famille Duvalier". Shortly after Baby Doc fled Haiti in 1986, the tomb was desacrated by anry mobs seeking revenge against the regime.
Some accounts say Baby Doc had Papa Doc's remain moved and secured before leaving Haiti, knowing what was coming. Other accounts say that the remains were dug up and destroyed by the mobs including the glasses Papa Doc was wearing when entombed.
