Legendary Irish singer Christy Moore used to joke on his website that he had two loyal readers. Over time this became 3 readers etc, until one day he referred to them as the 4711 (a play on the name of a perfume created by eau de cologne called 4711 which used to be poular in Ireland). The name stuck and is now the title by which Christy's hardcore fans refer to themselves.
