∙ 12y agoSince March 24, 2002, the Academy Awards have been held in Hollywood at the venue now known as the Dolby Theatre. The building originally was known as the Kodak Theatre, but the name was removed in early 2012 when Kodak filed for bankruptcy. The theater was temporarily called the Hollywood and Highland Center until a 20-year sponsorship agreement with Dolby Laboratories, Inc. was announced on May 1, 2012.
