According to the 1930 US Census she was born in Puerto Rico. She was the mother of Roberto Clemente and was married to Melchor Clemente. Melchor is commonly the Spanish name for one of the three magi in The Bible. The census lists her mother and father as having been born in Puerto Rico with her profession being a "comerciante" or trader working in a "pulperia" which at the time was a provisions store. Walker is certainly a unusual name in Spanish and it would be interesting to trace it back to its origin.
