No Tanya and Edward never dated despite the fact Tanya acts as if they were as a fact Edward was worried that Bella had dated someone before him which made him on edge which shows he is loyal and if he was dating anyone in the past he would of stayed with them unless it was against their safety as he shows in twilight new moon and there is no doubt Tanya being a vampire couldn't protect herself and as an addition he says he never had a taste for people like her thus proving that they were never in love.
