Do you know who Julia Abueva is?
Julia Abueva is a young singer and actress born in the Philippines, but living in Singapore. She was discovered at the age of 7 singing at the Esplanade Theatres in Singapore. Since then she has performed in front of many famous individuals including presidents, foreign dignitaries and internationally renown singers. She performed the theme song "We're All Just One" at the 2005 Southeast Asian Games at the age of 9. Since her early days performing she has performed in 9 musicals, 2 singles, was a voice behind Sing to the Dawn animated movie, performed a sold out concert in December 2008, and has performed hundreds of other performances. She won the ALIW Best Child Performer in 2007 and was recently featured on Oprah's "World's Smartest and Most Talented Kids" episode. Julia was invited to appear on Oprah's show in November 2008, but she was busy preparing for her first solo concert so she had to decline. She is often touted as the next Lea Salonga. Upcoming items: Julia will sing at the APEC Concert for USA President Barack Obama as well as 20 other National leaders on November 14, 2009 in Singapore.
