Mandy Moore
The song "Agony" is performed by the characters Cinderella's Prince and Rapunzel's Prince in the musical "Into the Woods," which was created by Stephen Sondheim. The song is a comic duet that explores the frustrations and desires of the two princes as they lament their romantic pursuits.
Mandy Moore (also known as Amanda Leigh Moore).
No he didn't. Sondheim is gay, but struggled for quite a long time with emotional attachment. He had a few brief relationships throughout the 70s and 80s, but his major relationship was with a younger composer/producer named Peter Jones. Sondheim in fact dedicated the score of "Passion" to Jones. Some sources seem to indicate that they are no longer together, but Jones did serve as producer on the recent albums "Sondheim Sings", which collect a lot of his own personal demo recordings.A good source for relationship information on Sondheim is Meryle Secrest's book "Sondheim: A Life". It's a bit tabloid-y at times, but it's the only book that really looks into his lovelife. Hope this helps.
