Hulk Hogan has "retired" several times between 1999 (age 46) and 2012 (age 59) but appeared in the ring sporadically after the age of 55. After a scandal in 2015, it is unclear if he will wrestle again.

Hulk Hogan retired from Wrestling in the WCW in 1999 (age 46), although he "won" a championship in 2000 due to legal clauses in his contract (a scripted departure). After surgery in 2001, he returned to the WWF (WWE) from 2002-2003 under the ring name "Mr. America." He then wrestled with TNA until 2004, WWE again until 2007, and Memphis Wrestling until 2007. He then appeared again with TNA, then the wrestling promotion Immortal, then a 4th and final (?) run with WWE from 2014-2015.
