Nathaniel Alexander was a physician during the Independence era, who served as Governor of North Carolina. Alexander favored Jeffersonian politics, but also gained respect from Federalists for his call to repeal the Court Act of 1806, a bill many Jeffersonians approved of. He died on March 6, 1808.
