I was born in cuba 4 may 1954...before fidel castro and during fulgencio batista...when valentina telescova went into space i thought somehow it was somehow spanish for telebroom because she became the first woman in space and also becasue she was very brave being valentina as in valiant, as in prince valiant...

I'm now going mannic with natalie wood's reopenning into her death and i have tried to find the meanings of her name in russian but nobody seems to know or want to divulge it...i hope this prompts other people for explanation as to natalie wood's real meaning of her name in russian...i can see that natalie comes from natale and such, i actually did not know this, believe it or not even though spanish is my mother tongue and my first language i have spent most of my life in the us and as such i have adopted the english language as my principal adopted language and in my erroneous thinking i thought that natalie had to do with milk as in nata...

Now nikolaevna sounds to me like related to saint nick, that much i can associate perhpas daughter of saint nick, nickolaus, Santa Claus, etc...

But zakarenko or zacharenko i am totally miffed! Can anybody profer some meaning and is that why when her name was "amerikanized" her name went from

zakharenko meaning wood? No, yes?

What does zacharenko mean or zakharenko or am i going to have to call fidel castro or dimitry "mielero" medvedev to find out?

By the way one of my favorite writers is the russian ivan turgenev even though i do not speak russian i was able to read just about all his works thanks to translators so i know "we have them" or have they all moved back to Russia to help the astronauts?
