As far as I know, the tune (which seems to be an old folk polka from Poland/Czechia/Austria written towards the end of the 19th century by an unknown composer) was first released in 1938 by the Tommy Dorsey Orchestra, featuring his brother Jimmy on the Clarinet

  • it's a beautiful album which includes many super hits of the time, such as, for instance, Swanee River, but I've lost it in a hard disc crash app. 2 years ago. Though I was able to recover most of its songs from elsewhere, I don't remember the name of this album. Kind regards, Hannes from Vienna
