Australian explorer Allan Cunningham, who discovered Cunningham's Gap and Pandora's Pass in Australia's Great Dividing Range was born on 13 July 1791 in Wimbledon, England and died on 27 June 1839. He was only 47, and died of tuberculosis, having suffered respiratory problems all his life.
