Well if you listen to Ron Terry he did. However a radio presenter on the Costa del Sol in Spain did some research and came up with the following. Ron Terry was a backing singer on one of thir records. If you ever go on holiday to Spain or the Med then every resort seems to have one of the original Drifters. If this is the case then there must have been about 20 in the drifters, and not 4 as originaly thought.
Terry King is my father and as far as I know he began singing with the Drifters in the early 1980's and was on the 1982 "Too Hot" album. He was also a part timer with the Temptaion in 1978. My father can be found on facebook. I hope this helped somewhat but if anything I will ask my dad for more details.

Bobby Charles Taylor was a singer with the Drifters. His first record before joining the drifters was a 45 rpm single called "Come On" on the Highland record label # 711. The name on the label is Bobby Charles. I've been looking for a copy of that record for many years but haven't been able to find it.
