Gerry Rafferty, formerly of Stealers Wheel, sang 'Baker Street.'

It was used quite a bit in Miami Vice, but wasn't the theme song.
Gerry Rafferty is apparently alive & well, living in London, UK ATM. Gerry was recently in Briars restraunt, in Piccadily, London & was served by my cousin, nikky. He didn't talk to him or nothing (obviously more than his jobs worth) but he knows who gerry is, since we are both from Feegie, where gerry lived for a few years. Any reports about Gerry going missing from hospital & stuff is just an Internet runour. He is fine. Danny H from Feegie, Paisley, Scotland, UK.
Alto Reed played the distinctively mournful saxophone on Turn the Page. He was an original member of the Silver Bullet Band, which was formed in 1974. Although he performed with many other bands and artists, including Foghat, Little Feat, Spencer Davis and The Blues Brothers, he is not the sax player on Gerry Rafferty's Baker Street. That is Raphael Ravenscroft.
