Good-bye!Take care of yourselfes and DON"T LEAVE THE PATH!!
To be precise, they were "DO NOT LEAVE THE ROAD!" However, as I don't have the book with me, I cannot be sure that he did not say "DON'T LEAVE THE ROAD!"
Dan haggerty aka grizzly Adams is alive and well as of 01/22/2010. Met him at sands regencey hotel/casino on 01/22/2010. Dan was having dinner at the seafood buffet with family and friends. I love his parting words GOD BLESS!
He had other pressing matters. You find out later that he drove the Necromancer (Sauron) out of the Mirkwood area. Addendum: The above is definitely the reason given in the Hobbit: Gandalf and the White Council drive Sauron from Dol Guldur forcing him to relocate to his old realm of Mordor. It turns out Sauron was ready for this and didn't suffer much from the displacement. However, it should be noted there's also a literary reason for this. In terms of plot and Bilbo's development as a heroic character, it really is required that Gandalf be moved offstage. Gandalf is too powerful, too capable, and too overwhelming a figure. If Gandalf's there, he'd wave his staff, say a few words, and all problems would be resolved and we'd have a book without drama. Gandalf can handle a few spiders and would just talk to the Elf King who he's probably on a first name basis with. Because Gandalf is gone, Bilbo is forced to assume the mantle of leadership and save the dwarves from the spiders, then the elves, and then confront the dragon alone. This is pretty common in literature and movies. The hero must be left to face adversity alone because its through this process that he or she becomes the hero.
In Twilight- about 174,000 words. In New Moon- about 186,000 words. In Eclipse- about 197,000 words. In Breaking Dawn- 223,000 words. Stephanie Meyer said that on a talk show how many words she has typed for these books and she said that these are the numbers for each book. Pretty neat, huh?
The Bee Gees, if you mean the song that goes "It's only words, and words are all I have, to take your heart away"
In the first book, The Hunger Games, there are 99750 words, 101564 words in the second, Catching Fire, and there are 100269 words in the third, Mockingjay.
Trust Mr. Baggins, be good, and "STAY ON THE PATH" on their travels through Mirkwood.

Henry was annoyed by his mother's parting words in "The Red Badge of Courage" because she emphasized his safety and the need to avoid danger. This conflicted with his desire to prove his courage and bravery in battle. Henry wanted to show his mother that he was capable and fearless, so her words made him feel like she did not believe in him.
