Capt. Edward Fuller Farm was created in 1775.
Alan Alda played Capt Benjamin "Hawkeye" Pierce on the CBS television show M*A*S*H (1972-83). He is still very much alive (March 2015). He is kept busy by his numerous projects and is a Visiting Professor at the State University of New York at Stony Brook School of Journalism.
He died at his home in Raleigh, NC from a self-innflicted gunshot wound to the head; not in a diving accident, which seems to be some sort or urban myth. Kiddo did not die while filming the Abyss. He did commit suicide, I remember being so affected by this, we were cousins.

Robert Altman's movie, MASH (1970), opens with the arrival of surgeons Capt Hawkeye Pierce and Capt Duke Forrest in a stolen jeep. Their non-military, womanizing personalities are immediately apparent. Shortly following is the introduction to Maj. Frank Burns, Col. Henry Blake and the arrival of thoracic surgeon Capt. Trapper John McIntyre.
That was a Deep Space Nine episode titled Trials and Tribble-ations. It was Sisko, no Riker.
The first Star Trek episode was called 'The Cage.' It starred Jeffrey Hunter as Capt. Christopher Pike. The pilot was rejected. The episode was created in 1966, but did not air until October 1988. Parts of this episode were aired in the original series as flashbacks in the episode 'The Menagerie', which aired in November 1966. The series was picked up with William Shatner playing the role of Capt. James T. Kirk. The first episode of what is now referred to as Star Trek TOS (the orignal series) that aired is 'The Man Trap.' It was actually the 5th episode produced. There was a pilot for Star Trek TOS called 'Where No Man Has Gone Before.' This episode was the first produced, but the 3rd to air as part of the first season of Star Trek in 1966.
Capt. Kirk kissed a lot of women on the show, but I assume you are referring to the episode Plato's Stepchildren, which originally aired on November 22, 1968 and in which Capt. Kirk and Lt. Uhura were forced into an embrace while being mentally controlled like puppets. Whether on TV or elsewhere, it was extremely unpopular for white men and black women to be kissing in 1968.
