Abbey Road was the last new album to be recorded, in the late summer of 1969; it was released that October. Let It Bewas a reworking of the abandoned Get Back project, from the beginning of that year, with overdubs supervised by Phil Spector (with the blessings of Lennon and Harrison, who had already worked with Spector on Lennon's "Instant Karma!"). It was released in May 1970.
