Ron Buckhout together with Chuck Pharis produced a television series on KCSM television in the California Bay Area in the '70s. Pharis produced and directed the series. The series starred Buckhout and centered around karate (Buckhout was a Black Belt and was serving at the time in the USAF Air Commandos) Buckhout went on to complete over 30 years of military service as a member of the Green Berets, retiring as a Major. Pharis worked in the television industry picking up numerous awards including several Emmey's.
