After working for the Picassos for many years as their butler, I have gained both an outsider's and insider's perspective in their family. Young Pablo did very well in school, but was always a little weird. He was a genius when it came to art though. His mother was very loving, but his father was very cold and closed off. The only tie he talked to me was to tell me what to do or to give me my payment. Mrs. Picasso and I often had many deep conversations. She was a lovely lady. Overall, there was a lot of conflict in the Picasso household, with a loving mother and a cold father. Pablo thrived, even with this setback.
