Though his father encouraged him to be a writer, Nicolas studied theatre at Beverly Hills High school and eventually dropped out to pursue a career in acting when he was just 17 years. However, most of his first film role - a bit part in 1982's Fast Times At Ridegemont High, as Nicolas Coppola - ended up on the cutting room floor.But then Nicolas Cage's uncle Francis landed him in a role for his film titled 'Rumble Fish'(1983), followed by the punk-rocker in Valley Girl(1983), which was released first and truly launched his carreer Thank You!!!
