"The Final Countdown", originally by the band Europe, was considered to be Rock Music in 1986, when it was released. By today's standards, they would probably be referred to as a 'Hair Band', and their music, including the title track, The Final Countdown, would probably be considered to be Classic Rock or perhaps even a Rock Ballad.
