You can never really tell which ones are real and which ones are fake. I think the best one, though, is "Stairway To Heaven" by Led Zeppelin. The one verse, about 4:20 into the song... is reeeaaally spooky played backwards.

None! A There was a popular urban myth going around in the late 1970s and 1980s that certain songs, usually by progressive rock or heavy rock bands, contained sinister messages when played backwards that were designed to raise the Devil, brainwash the listenener into committing certain acts, or were coded signals to evil beings from another world to make things happen. This was said particularly about certain songs by Black Sabbath, the album 'Secret Messages' by ELO, and tracks by Thin Lizzy, Alice Cooper and Motorhead.

In reality, this was all nonsense- if you play the tracks in reverse, all you get is lyrics sung back to front and a reversed tune that is an atonal mess. The writers and composers of these songs would have no way of knowing whether what they had written was capable of raising the Devil, brainwashing the listener etc. or not- how could they possibly?

So no songs have any meaning backwards, the most you get if you reverse a track is a most unpleasant noise!!
