Not to my knowledge, the song or one of his compositions was adopted by the Special Olympics program, by the way, and may have been used for ad council public awareness ads for this event.
Parts of it sound a lot like the second theme song for ALF. You can find both songs on YouTube to compare. Not nearly an exact match, but made me feel better when I made the connection.
There is another part that sounds super familiar, too, but not sure what it's from :( Still looking for the answer!
None of this above information was of any help to me. Like many, I've spent some time searching the internet to find my answer.
The only song that I was able to make the connection is the intro theme song to M*A*S*H called "Suicide is Painless"

As of my last knowledge update in October 2023, there are no records or reports indicating that Chuck Mangione, the famous jazz musician and flugelhorn player, has been arrested. He is primarily known for his music career, particularly the hit "Feels So Good." Any specific incidents or news about his legal status would need to be verified with more current sources.
Many of the 'horn' bands of the late 60s and early 70s, such as Chicago and Blood, Seat & Tears used flugal horns in their brass sections. Probably the best known flugal horn player was Chuck Mangione, a jazz artist, who had a major hit with Feels So Good in 1977. Trumpet is used in a lot of jazz songs, and many of them are famous, so it's hard to answer your question.
"Feel So Good" by Chuck Mangione features a memorable melody that can be played on alto saxophone. The main notes for the iconic riff typically include B, C#, D#, E, and F# in the key of E major. For the best sound, focus on smooth transitions between these notes and maintaining a relaxed breath support. For precise fingerings and rhythms, consulting a sheet music version is recommended.
