I love Lucy was the first show to be taped in front of a live audienceI Love Lucy was the first show sitcom to be taped filmed in front of a live audience.I Love Lucy was on film, therefore it was filmed. Tape was primitive in the 1950s and generally not used if it even existed at the time of I Love Lucy at all.
To be in a live studio audience, you have to search all of the online ticket distributors (if you prefer the easy and free way). Hannah Montana DOES have a live audience (I have an ear for shows that do and shows that don't), but the audience is relatively small, and half of the sounds you hear come from canned laughter. This is why it sounds half like shows with a live audience (like Perfect Strangers, Full House, and Family Matters) and shows that do not (like iCarly, Drake & Josh*, and the much older M*A*S*H). The same case goes with Wizards of Waverly Place. In summary, search websites that offer tickets, and if you're lucky, you can find one. Good luck! -Jonny Watts *Drake & Josh may have a sweetened audience, but it's hard for me to tell.

Some shows do! Shows such as Saturday Night Live, The Big Bang Theory, and Hot in Cleveland still get taped in front of a live audience. Most dramas are not filmed in front of an audience, and many comedies no longer are. Whether they are or not, they will still often use a laugh track.
All I know is that Whitney is taped in front of a live studio audience.

''Some episodes are to hard to film in front of a live studio audience.'' (Bridgit Mendler said) But most episodes are in front of a live audience. Like- "Appy days" and ''Meet the parents''.

Yes it is. But they don't really give out tickets, it's more like an invitation. You can join the waiting list for future episodes from here. http://www.ocatv.com/shows/show/83
Granted when this question was written, the show was still on the air, but The Suite Life on Deck was not taped in front of a live studio audience.
