Yes
a yellow phone case
The main character is Shawn Spencer. His dad taught him to observe, and hoped he would be a police officer, too, someday. Shawn never followed in his father's footsteps, and ended up to odd jobs for fun. In his spare time, he called into the police tip line. Eventually he was called in regarding a case he called in a tip on. The man he clued the police on to was guilty, and confessed, but had an accomplise. Shawn, of course, was susspected, so he said he was psychic. If the police found out, he could be charged for it, so he became the head psychic. It's a good show.
