In the 1979 novel, Bastian gave The Childlike Empress the new name of Moonchild, which in the original German is Mondenkind. The name is deliberately obscured in the 1984 film version of the first half of the novel. The film starred Tami Stronach as the Empress.

Are you asking what the new name the boy gives the empress is? If so, then: I swear to God, it's impossible to understand what he's saying. It's completely unintelligible. The empress keeps yelling at the boy (not Atreyu, the real-life boy, Bastian) to say her name, so he runs to the window of the school's attic and screams the name out the window. I have the DVD, I just checked, and it's utterly unintelligible. I played it back like 20 times, and it sounds something like "Bulzaiyum." Seriously. I even put the subtitles on, and there's no subtitle for it! I dunno, maybe it's supposed to be impossible to understand what it is. Maybe you're supposed to be left wondering, so you can imagine your own name.
