I am not sure of all the movies that have been filmed in Washington, DC . Although when i was there, my tour guide said a part of Forrest Gump is in Washington DC. Previous information is correct. Forrest Gump has scenes at Lincoln Memorial and its reflecting pool. Other movies worth mention are The Firmand The National Treasure (and its sequel). Some may remember Clint Eastwood and Rene Russo in the movie "In the Line of Fire", also sitting in the doorsteps of Lincoln's.
Another obvious answer would be Mr. Smith Goes to Washington Several other movies feature Washington spots here and there like FBI's building in Hannibal, X-Files, Silence of the Lambs . Many War movies features the city, like the ending scene of Saving Private Ryan at Arlington Cemetery.
