Interestingly enough when you look at the largest U.S. movie franchises, according to The Numbers website, Barbie has the most films with 31 total animated movies [30 sequels]. Naturally it can be argued they aren't true sequels has they don't have a continuing theme or story throughout the films.
Box Office Mojo lists James Bond as the franchise with the most sequels at [currently] 25 movies [24 sequels]. The Numbers lists Bond as the second after Barbie.
