its from Seinfeld, in one episode Elaine says to a women, who is talking about her finance( her 'baby')The lady stated "where is by baby, have you seen my baby". Elaine says " Maybe the dingo ate your baby" in an Australian accent.
Its also uttered in an Episode of Frasier entitled "The Flour Child", in which Eddie (the dog) is ripping into a 10 lb. bag of flour, which Niles is using as a tool to teach him the responsibility of becoming a parent. When Eddie begins ripping into the bag of flour, Daphne says, "That dingo's got your baby".
It's originally from the Meryl Streep and Sam Neill movie A Cry in the Dark which came out in 1988. It's based on a true story of an Australian mother who is accused of murdering her infant daughter, and she claims that it was dingoes that carried her daughter off and killed her.
Its ALSO in the Ben Stiller, Jack Black movie Tropic Thunder....Robert Downey Jrs character is from Australia & another character in the movie says it to him when he is arguing with him...
It's not a movie, it was a real life occurence in the outback of Australia, around 1980. Azaria Chamberlain disappeared during a camping trip to Uluru.
The film is "A Cry in the Dark" (1988). Stars Meryl Streep, Sam Neill.
Julia Louis Dreyfus, as Elaine in the TV show, Seinfeld, in 'The Stranded' episode, blows off an annoying party friend, chirping, 'Maybe the dingo ate your baby?'.The quote, 'A dingo took my baby' comes from the multi award-winning movie, 'A Cry in the Dark', directed by Fred Schepisi and starring Meryl Streep as Lindy Chamberlain and Sam Neill as Michael Chamberlain. The movie is based on the true story of Lindy and Michael Chamberlain whose baby, Azaria, disappeared on August 17, 1980, from the family's campsite in the desert at Uluru - a place sacred to the indigenous people of the area - in the Australian Northern Territory near Alice Springs. Azaria's body was never recovered. The Chamberlains were tried for the murder of their daughter who, the defense claimed, had been taken by an Australian native dog, a dingo, common to the area. The movie was based on John Bryson's book about these events, 'Evil Angels', and was originally released in Australia under that title.Lindy Chamberlain wasn't believed when she claimed a dingo had taken her baby. She was found guilty of murder in October 29, 1982, and sentenced to life imprisonment with hard labor. Michael was found guilty as an accessory after the fact; his sentence was deferred. On February 7, 1986, Lindy was released from prison following the discovery of new evidence: a British hiker, David Brett, was killed in January 1986 in a fall at Uluru; investigating police, searching the area for remains which they feared might have been taken by dingos, found Azaria's missing jacket. This unquestionably proved Lindy Chamberlain's innocence and, on September 15, 1988, all convictions against the Chamberlains were quashed by the Northern Territory Court of Criminal Appeals.

As far as I know, there's one by Steven King, I'm sure it's called Christine. But I think there's another one called The Cars That Ate Paris (or some other place). There was another movie/book by Stephen King on this subject called Maximum Overdrive.
The "Maybe the dingo ate your baby" episode was titled "The Stranded". It was episode #9 in season 2, initially aired on November 27,1991.
The cast of Dingo Ate My Video - 2006 includes: Anney McKilligan as Baby Michael Schupbach as Dingo
I thought it was a line from a movie based on a event in Australia, where a woman's baby was carried away by a dingo and was convicted of murder...the movie was "A Cry in the Dark."
Because they donbt want to go to jail, and because they are stupid
They are referring to a real-life case where an Australian woman was convicted of the murder of her infant daughter. She claimed that a dingo took her. The conviction was later overturned but the cause of death was never determined.
No, dingoes are very kind to human beings. A lot of Australian tribes even keep them as pets. They would rather prefer eating kangaroos or rabbits as a meal. Although "a dingo ate your baby!" is funny, it has yet to be actually proven. There have been cases where dingos have picked up babies and there was a recorded case where a wild dog attacked a 9 year old boy who sustained injuries he later died from. Also, in the famous case of "A dingo ate my baby" clothing worn by the baby in mention was find near a dingo lair, and the individuals imprisoned for the death of the baby were released. It is quite possible for a dingo to take a child and to cause injuries that could cause death, but it's arguable as to whether there is any more or less risk as you would have with any other dog.

Maybe the dingo ate him!
it is playing to the stereotype of a 'typical australian' there was a series of TV ads trying to popularise Australia starring Paul (Crocodile Dundee) Hogan, which finished with him throwing another 'shrimp on the barbie' as the viewer of the ad would need something to eat when they got there. And 'dingo ate my baby' is referring to the well known case of Lindy Chamberlain, a woman who was tried and convicted of killing her child when she claimed a dingo (wild dog) ran off with it.
Anney McKilligan has: Played Rita Mouse in "Bear in the Big Blue House" in 1997. Played Puppeteer in "The Book of Pooh" in 2001. Played Acorn in "Johnny and the Sprites" in 2005. Played Baby in "Dingo Ate My Video" in 2006. Played herself in "Artstar" in 2006.
"i ate bacon one time!"
If you breast fed it you would know that it ate properly. But if you don't look into proper baby care. It will help.
