Hm. I know that at Motown 25, where Michael performed Billie Jean and first performed the moonwalk, he wore Penny-Loafers. If you think his dancing was all to do with his shoes, they only helped him slide and glide.

It was his own rhythm and movement that made him such a fantastic dancer.
