The tunnel is about a 16 year old boy, Ken, who gets a summer job babysitting 6 1/4 year old Ib. Ken decides to take Ib on an adventure. They visit an area near a stream where there is a tunnel. Ken has a traumitizing flashback to his child hood when he experienced claustrophobia and a haunting sort of feeling. The tunnel was also the place where KEn had been called from "voices" to play with him. Ib decides she wants to enter the tunnel... Ken lets her go but tells Ib he will meet her on the other end of the tunnel. When Ken reaches the end of the tunnel, he pokes his head in the hole and realizes Ib is missing. When he finally finds Ib, she tells him that the "girls were calling her" and wanted to play... She heard the same voices which Ken heard during his experience in the tunnel.
