What is the plot of The Hunger Games?

North America was destroyed in countless disasters (before she was born)making what is her country,Panem. Panem is a country made up of 12 districts(Used to be 13 before a war broke out)Since the war ended about 75/74 years before the story starts,Capitol(Basically like the Washington D.C. of their time)tries to keep the people in order so a war will never happen again by holding The Hunger Games. The Hunger Games are a fight till death in an arena,all kids from the ages 12 to 18 have to enter The Hunger Games. A boy and girl tribute from each district is chosen to enter the Hunger Games,where 24 kids go in,and 1 comes out. When Katniss's younger sister,Prim is chosen,Katniss finds herself offering to take the place of her sibling. The tale shows Katniss struggling to make it through the Hunger Games,trying to be the last one standing,for her sister and mother's sake,where she risks love,her life,and others to make it to the end:D Hope this helped
