There are different songs played in each episode. They are instrumental variances of songs written and performed by various bands. For example, episode #2: Checkmate has a variance of "Burn" by The Cure (from The Crow soundtrack) and episode #3: Closing Time has "Hurt" as performed by Johnny Cash (originally written and recorded by Nine Inch Nails). Like I said - they are variances of the songs, so they may sound awfully familiar, but aren't the exact songs.

When i first made the closing credits to a movie i first watched some closing credits to see how they would look.I downloaded VideoTagger which is actually an application that purely creates movie credits. It was really simple to choose the templates that I wanted to use for each section, and really make it my own by using different fonts, colors, graphics, and stuff. Then I just created the credits and attached it to my movie in my regular film editor - which allowed me to put music over it and everything!

The people who develop credits for films are given the names and titles of contributors, plus the contractual obligations for position and relative type size that some contributors have negotiated in their project contracts. The format, per se, is not a standard, and the credits people craft examples of credits that the director and perhaps producer review and approve before the final credits are crafted.

I don't know what the song is, but I'm willing to bet that if you watch the credits closely you'll find the song listed in them. This is usually the case with opening and closing music on most shows and movies. The reason the term "Credits" is used for that long scrolling list of names and titles is because its (the list's) whole purpose is so everyone, including the artists who perform music for the show or movie, is acknowledged or given ''credit'' for their contribution to the production of the show.
