What is the movie jumanji about?

Set in 1969, The movie is about a 12-year old boy named Alan Parrish who stumbles across an ancient game named Jumanji on a construction site. He gets his friend Sarah to roll and they realize that something is wrong with the game, so they are about to put it up but the clock strikes on the hour and it startles Alan and he drops the dice. and he ends up getting sucked into the game. Sarah of course runs out screaming in terror. 26 years later in 1995, Peter and Judy Shepard move into the old Parrish house and find Jumanji while waiting for the school bus. Judy rolls a six bringing up a swarm of giant mosquitoes. Peter rolls a two(the rules say that if you roll doubles you get another turn). Which brings some monkeys who wreck their house. Since Peter rolled a double, he rolls a five. (When Alan was playing he read in the center of the game "In the jungle you must wait, until the dice read five or eight.") Peter brings up a lion and Alan out of the game. Alan later on agrees to help them play, but realizes that it is not either one of Judy or Peter's turn. So they go to Sarah Whittles house and they convince her to play the game again. And through it all, they learn the importance of depending on one another.

The story line is About a Boy named Alan Parrish and his friend Sarah Whittle. Alan finds 'Jumanji' the board game in a wooden box in a construction site near The Parrish Shoes Factory, which his father owns. That night when Sarah returns Alan's bike from being beat up by her boyfriend Billy Jessup, they start to play Jumanji. When Alan rolls he gets sucked into the game but no one knows that apart from Sarah who everyone thought was crazy.

Twenty-six years later, Judy and Peter Shepherd move in with their aunty. When they discover the game they start to play. Peter releases Alan from the jungle. Soon he joins in to finish the game but realises that a player is missing; Sarah Whittle. When they find Sarah she panics after seeing the game but soon joins in as well. Many 'unusual' things come out of the game.
