What is the movie Transformers about?

What I interpreted from this film was there was this matrix that the decepticons needed to complete one of there evil plans, so the auto-bots come to the rescue and try to stop the decepticons from obtaining this matrix. But before this Sam is getting ready to go to college when he finds a tiny shard of the all-spark (from the previous movie) so he touches it and all the memory in that all-spark peice gets sent straight in Sam's head. Now since Sam has this memory in his brain the decepticons need it so they chase him around trying to rip his brains out. But before they can Optimus Prime comes and attempts to save Sam, which he succeeds at.... sort of, he saves Sam from the decepticons but in the process he gets beat up and blasted by the decepticons. Now the only way to revive Optimus is to get the matrix (before the decepticons do) and stab Optimus with it, which will revive our well-known hero. They meet up with a retired decepticon, now laying in a museum, that nows the where abouts of the matrix. He teleports them all to the desert where the matrix is hidden under other prime bodies from their heroic attemp of keeping it safe from past generations of decepticons. Sam calls the military guy from movie one to bring Optimus' body to the desert because they were transporting in out of the military base where they kept it before. To make it as basic as possible they bring optimus to the desert, Sam finds the matrix, they go through a lot of trouble getting to Optimus, they reach him and stab him with the matrix, hurray our hero is saved! But sometime in all this Sam dies and goes to transformer heaven but the previous prime's give Sam life again because he has a purpose and that purpose was to save optimus.... ok. Well, that's the basic story line of it sorry for making it so long but that's what I made of it. Oh yeah and at the end the fallen guy gets killed by a punch by optimus and the decepticons all get beat up... after all that trouble trying to get him back to life and he's too weak to take a punch from optimus... Well Sam needs to find Prime but when he does there is a Deceptacon Army waiting for him he picks up Primes chain gun and fights them off however Prime wont let him and fights for him pushing Sam to the side he takes on the Army but he his not as powerfull they eventually kill Prime

A "cube" was created on the home planet of the transformes (which is Cybertron) that gave them there power and strength but it was lost in space when a war between the autobots and the decepticons broke out (before the war, there were no autobots and decepticons, metaphorically). This so called "Cube" (also known as the allspark) crash landed on earth. But the movie is about the autobots and the decepticons fighting on earth for the power of the allspark (also known as the cube).But in the end it is used to kill the main Decepticon "megatron"

By the way the autobots were the good guys and the decepticons are the bad guys
