i suspect everybody has a different answer but i believe the message is anythings possible Katniss promised her sister Prim she would win the games even though she knew that it was nearly impossible but she didn't think about that she had enough courage to believe she could win.

The Hunger Games itself? Its a punishment from the capitol to remind the districts that you tried to attack us so play with your children's lives in return.

The book itself: the government can be nasty

edit: The whole trilogy: (In my opinoin) That killing Snow doesnt solve all of Katniss' problems. Throughout the last installment all she thought about was killing this man, and after he dies things aren't magically better. I compare this to Joseph Kony, THough this man deserves to die in the most brutal way, killing him him does not solve the problems of those little children. The LRA isn't just going to stop. If you want to help those children, Help build schools and hospitals, and homes. Katniss realized this and she decided to kill coin who was planning yet another Hunger Games.

There really isn't a message in the book, not all books have secret messages like that, but the message in the Hunger Games not the book but the Hunger Games themself is well it was because of the big war/rebellion the districts had they showed never to have war again by taking their children and making them kill each other in the arena. But what do you know, a war starts! (read Mockingjay that's when theres the war)

I believe there is no moral for each book, but one for the whole trilogy. The moral, I'd have to say, would be things could almost ALWAYS be worse. Or

The message she is sending Is the world we are living in is becoming desensitized because of all the reality T.V we watch and how we laugh at people getting hurt.
