"Come as You Are" is rather a song of contradictions than irony.
Come as you are, as you were.... take your time, hurry up....as a friend, as an old enemy....
As you can see, the lyrics are purposefully contradictory to tell about relationships through time and acceptance of yourself and other people.
Response: Good answer. The irony I was speaking of is that he sings over and over that he hasn't got a gun. He swears that he hasn't got a gun. Unfortunately that's how he died by his own hand with a gun. That is a contradiction as well.
... to the person that wrote he did have a gun... you are an idiot!
irony
The shortest Nirvana song should be "The Rose", sung by Kurt Cobain prior to opening of Live at Reading on '92.
it used to be when he was in wwe.now that hes in tna i dont know.
to make a song come out of ones mouth is....................................................... !SING!
Lottie Lenya was an Austrian singer and actress, and is perhaps best known as the wife of the song writer Kurt Weill.
My current favorite song that has irony is Kurt Cobaine's song Come As You Are. He repeats over and over I don't have a gun, but he committed suicide with a gun. That's irony!
Those are lyrics from the song Come As You Are
Nirvana published the song Come as you are in 1992 as a part of their album Nevermind. They also published this album in 1992. The song is written by nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain. This song was their second american top 40 hit.
An example of irony in song lyrics would be the song Ironic by Alanis Morissette. This song is an example of irony because although Morissette sings about all of these supposed ironic things, none of them are ironic, they're all just bad luck.
Kurt Cobaine from the band Nirvana sings I swear that I don't have a gun over and over and over, in the song Come As You Are. Kind of ironic isn't it?
Mercedes sings a spirituality song called I Look To You, and shes telling Kurt in song what she wanted to all day so this song was the right for her.
Kurt Corbain
Kurt cobain
Well Nirvana released the song, but Kurt Cobain got married......
This could be described as a tautology. If the song was not your own, why would it be called your song? If it is your song, then by definition, it is your own.
Kurt WEILL has written: 'September song and other American Theatre songs of Kurt Weill' 'The Threepenny Opera'
One song writin about Kurt is a song called Tearjerker by The Red Hot Chili Peppers. Antony Kiedis met Kurt backstage at a gig, and thought that he was a reallyt great guy. He wrote the song after he heard that Hurt killed himself =[
