Batman's "gentleman's gentleman" is Alfred, or more fully - Alfred Thaddeus Crane Pennyworth. I say "gentleman's gentleman" because he was always more than just a butler... he was a valet, confidant and advisor.
the live-action movies are as follows: Batman, Batman Returns, Batman Forever, Batman and Robin, Batman Begins, The Dark Knight, and The Dark Knight Rises

It can be assumed that he did not die at the end of "Under the Red Hood" although not directly shown him surviving the explosion Batman and Joker both survived and Jason was right next to Batman at the time of the explosion, DC also went on to write a comic series with Jason as the Red Hood as the anti-hero, so one can assume he survived.

Batman has had five sidekicks with the alias of Robin. The first being Dick Grayson, who thought he outgrew the name Robin and became Nightwing, when Bruce Wayne had supposedly died he became Batman himself, until Bruce returned so he became Nightwing once more, who sometimes works with Batman if not he's solo. The second being Jason Todd, who was killed by the joker, he then returned as Red Hood, he used guns and violence so Batman didn't approve of him, although he was eventually allowed back into the Bat Family. The third being Tim Drake, his father found out he was Robin, so he had to leave, only to return years later as Red Robin. The fourth was Stephanie Brown who violated the rules of being Robin so she returned to her alias of Spoiler until she became Batgirl. The fifth is Damian Wayne and still is the Robin

Because In General Batman Probably couldn't Bare To See anything Happen to Him. If Something were To Happen To the Boy Wonder Then That Would Impact Batman Like It Did In Batman: Beyond, (Having them Break apart Morally). Although It Could Also Be That The Original Robin (Dick Grayson) Grew Up and Took the role as Nightwing, The Second Robin (Jason Todd) Was Beaten brutally with a crowbar by Joker and Joker Leaves Him While A Time Bomb Goes Off, But...In Theory Robin should still be Alive considering the fact that Tim Drake (Third Robin Or Red Robin) Took The Role Of Robin If that's the Cause then it may be that Tim Drake Will Be In the Sequel?
