It depends on the type of movie, the involvement level (number of characters, of sets, complexity, etc.) and the experience the director has. A good director will take about 3 years to make a movie. Some directors such as the Coen Brothers make about 1 a year, but they have countless years of experience under their belts. The average time span for a successful independent director is about 2-3 years. Anything under a year is either a short film or a failed attempt.

that depends on the length, content, and sfx (special effects) you have in your movie. for a short film 5-10 mins with moderate sfx, around 2 weeks for nonstop shooting and editing.

for a short film 10-30 mins with heavy sfx around a month

normal full length movies will take about a year to produce
