Supernatural causation is when the cause and effect pattern, by which all events occur, takes place on a natural and super-natural (that is, not of this earth) level. C.S. Lewis's book "Miracles" gives an excellent explanation of the way supernatural causation does not fall outside the realm of rational, scientitfic cause and effect or the natural laws.
