Its about the love triangle between Jacob . Edward and Bella. Its also about Victoria coming back for revenge with an army of newborn Vampires. So The Cullens (good vampires) band together with the Werewolves (shape shifters) to save Bella.

the preface says that in eclipse Bella has t choose between her love with Edward and friendship with Jacob and that she has another decision to make life or death .but which one is which? in eclipse as graduation approaches she starts feeling more and more unsure of herself about her transformation. Bella does choose between Edward or Jacob but stays friends with the other.
