Do you mean a Dugbog from Harry Potter? If so, The Dugbogis a marsh-dwelling magical creature found in Europe and North and South America. It resembles a piece of dead wood while stationary. It has finned paws and sharp teeth, and glides through marshland, feeding on small animals, and occasionally attacking the ankles of passers-by.
