There are a few examples of antithesis in the book. One of the most recognizable would be Peeta and Gale. Gale has a more destructive "passion", devising the plan to destroy district 2's base without mercy and inventing the bomb that killed Prim. Peeta is the opposite, trying to protect Katniss at all costs and not even allowing her to take risks to save his own life. This is the reason for why Katniss chose Peeta over Gale.

If one were to look at just the first book and not the entire series, the antithesis would still be quite evident. Peeta demonstrates kindness and self-sacrifice in the arena (joining the dangerous group of killers to protect Katniss) while Gale shows his destructive nature with his skill at creating cunning hunting traps, including the one that caught Katniss. This example of antithesis can be roughly summarized as one between war and peace or tender love and destructive passion.
