His friend DeShaun ''Proof'' Holton. He was Eminems' best friend growing up. Proof was pretty much Em's right hand man. You could see them in numerous freestyles and performances together. Proof was also in Eminem's founded rap group D12. Back in April of 2006 Proof was at a bar in Detroit. He was playing pool drunk against another person. Well, an argument happened guns were pulled out and shots were fired and Proof was struck in the head, he died instantly. Eminem coming off drugs for the 1st time after he was seen 1st trying pills on sets of his movie 8 Mile. He became addicted while recording ''Encore''. After recovered the 1st time, he relapsed and heard about the news and went down their from there. That's where his hiatus and overdose where he almost died came from.
