Supposedly, music producer Rob Fusari came up with the Lady Gaga moniker. When he first began working with Stefani, he thought her harmonies sounded very similar to those of Freddie Mercury, the lead singer of Queen.
Apparently, Fusari used to sing the song Radio Ga Ga, a Queen song, every time Stefani would enter the room. Stefani was in the process of coming up with a stage name. One day, Fusari texted her "Radio Gaga," but it auto-corrected to "Lady Gaga." Stefani loved it, and from then on only wanted to be referred to as Lady Gaga.
