What is CDEP?

It is "Community Development Employment

Project".

Entirely funded by the Federal Government, it provides activities

for unemployed indigenous people helping out their community. It tries to give them a stepping stone

to employment outside CDEP.

To be eligible you need to be accepted

as part of the Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander

community, and 16 years or over.

You must also live within the

locality served by the CDEP organisation.
